Welcome
Hunterdon Interfaith Outreach addresses poverty for individuals and families in Hunterdon County and connects people in need with solutions. HIOC is guided by three principles: Donate, Advocate, and Impact Lives
HIOC is a totally voluntary organization and has no administrative costs. 100% of funds raised go to utility and security deposit assistance. Help to heat homes in winter and secure living space for displaced persons and their families.
Since 2011, HIOC and its affiliates have raised
over $212,000 to help families in Hunterdon County.
- Donate - We collect money from local religious congregations, businesses and groups in order to fund the social need priorities as presented by the HIO Council
- Advocate - As an united council of faith leaders responding to need, we advocate for social issues when the need arises.
- Impact Lives - We are guided by the needs of our community. We discern these through input from local social service agencies, the "boots on the ground", and we allocate donations where the funds will make the most impact in the lives of our community.
